Hi,

Have spent ages trying to get MMS to work with my Tesco Contract Sim with no luck. Phoned them up and got the settings, which don't work.

Wap/internet access up and running with no problems using settings below:

APN: prepay.tesco-mobile.com

Username: Tesco Wap

Password: Password

Proxy:193.113.200.195

MMS Settings they supplied, (which dont work), as follows:

APN:prepay.tesco-mobile.com

Username: tescowap

Password: Password

MMSC: http://mmsc-ac.mms.o2.co.uk:10021/mmsc

MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080

Has anyone else come across this problem ?

All suggestions welcome.

APN: prepay.tesco-mobile.com

Port: 8080 or 9201

Username: tescowap

Password: password

MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195

Server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

APN Type: mms

i had this problem, played around, and these are the settings that work for me. first of all i think it would be better to delete any default network settings your phone or simcard may have, then create the wap internet one using info you have provided. You will use this for wap browsing.

Then, create a new apn, go to the bottom, in APN TYPE, tick both default and mms option. Then input:

APN: prepay.tesco-mobile.com

Username: tescowap

Password: password

MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MMS Proxy: 192.113.200.195

MMS Port= 8080

hit save.

when you need to retrieve or send an mms, change the apn in use to the one you just created.

hope it works, it works for me.

APN type: default,supl,mms

I've been following this forum for a couple of days and would just like to confirm that the settings supplied by zuccster have worked for me. I can now received MMS messages. Just for clarification here are the settings from my active Tesco connection:

Name: Tesco MMS

APN: prepay.tesco-mobile.com

Proxy: 193.113.200.195

Port: 8080

Username: tescowap

Password: tescowap

Server: <Not Set>

MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195

MMS Port: 8080

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

Authentication Type: None

APN Type: default,supl,mms

Please note that for the APN Type, you need to type in the line exactly as above.

I hope that this helps everyone else.

Tried zuccster settings and nothing.

Deleted the APN then set up a new one using zuccster settings again.

Changed the name of it to Tesco Mobile and set password as (password).

Now happy to report i can send and receive MMS and also have 2g/3g data connections.
