yeah but that just changes, to phone keypad or something else. No QWERTY from what I can see

There are 3 keyboards it scrolls through on mine, a phone keypad, a qwerty layout with 2 letters per 'key' and a normal qwerty layout :)

Are you refering to a keyboard having the shifts and return etc in a tradition layout as well? My TouchPal is the version that came with the standard orange rom, my phone isn't rooted or R3'd
