Replacing HTC Sense Widgets

Hi,

I'm removing the HTC Sense stuff from a custom R8 build and I'm looking for some alternatives to the weather widget... I heard palmaryweather was good, anybody know anything about this?

And how about a digital clock widget? Any recommendations?

Also looking for a calendar widget...

I'm trying to go as stocks as possible with MCR R8... Have tried OpenDesire, but the lack of FM radio is disappointing...

Beautiful Widgets on the market has a widget similar to the Sense weather widget (although it's not free)

IMO Beautiful Widgets is much better than the Sense clock widget...

-Skinnable

-Uses AccuWeather or Google

-Light weight

-Can launch any program you want

-SKINNABLE (and yes you can make it look exactly like Sense, but there are better ones)

Is that your home screen? Good work if so :) , might have to try that app out myself. Is it in the same vein as ADW etc?

Yup that's my home screen. Using LauncherPro with LauncherPro dock icons, CalWidget, BatteryLife, Multicon (resized via LauncherPro) and Beautiful Widgets.

On the other screens, I have the LauncherPro Friends widget (like HTC FriendStream but way better) and some common app shortcuts along with Extended Controls.

I'm happy with the layout, but I am really looking forward to updating from the latest R9

Oh I see, I thought that Beautiful Widgets had brought in the dock icons/layout...launcherpro, may give it a go if it has a good FriendStream alternative as i really like ADW but it doesn't have the FriendSream replacement which is one of my fav Sense apps...anyway I'll stop hijacking this thread now :)

I use Fancy Widget, but it's no longer available on the market.

The apk of the free app can be found on the internet. Latest version is 1.3.0.

LauncherPro Plus has some nice sense-like widgets. Calendar/Facebook/Twitter/Friends/People.

The plus version isn't free though.
