I have plugged the SF into my PC, it installed most drivers automatically and i can mount and see the SD card on my computer.

But when i go into device manager, it cant find the driver for ZTE HSUSB Device.

I downloaded the drivers from here, http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/ZTE_Blade#Drivers but it wont install.

I've updated my modified drivers to fully support 32bit and 64bit Windows Vista & Windows 7 as well as 32bit XP and Windows 2000. http://flibblesan.co.uk/android/zte_driver.zip

You will probably need to install the drivers manually from the device manager. Ignore any warnings about them being unsigned.

@flibblesan - thanks for these mate. I successfully rooted & flashed up to r3 last week when I first bought my SF, but had noticed that there were a couple of elements when my phone was connected to my W7 32bit laptop that showed as having no drivers showing as "ZTE HSUSB Device". Using your drivers I've managed to remove one of them, and that has now displayed as "ZTE Blade 3G Phone Modem", but I still have one more entry that I cannot add the driver for from any that I downloaded from your location.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Dave

Thanks for that. I'm fine with everything you're saying, but I can't find the "android_winusb.inf" file in the download you have linked to as there is no usb_drivers folder :)

Just to add, I flashed my phone to r3 using MCRi method before the ClockWork mod came out, and haven't sorted that yet. Does that make a difference?

Sorry I forgot to mention that you have to "install" the SDK, it'll go and get the latest drivers then.

Hi Dave

As you can probably tell I'm no expert here, but I followed the instructions posted by brins0 to the letter, but in addition in order to get the "usb_drivers" folder and install the "android_winusb.inf" file you have to:

1, Run the SDK Manager.exe (this took ages for me, but then my home broadband connection is hit & miss)

2, When that is finished, click on the "Available Packages" option on the left, and install the drivers packat the bottom of the list. When that is finished you will have the "usb_drivers" folder, and you can continue with the instructions given by brins0.

I never had the "waiting for device" message at all, so not sure if this helps you or not.

Cheers

Dave

I can't get the SF recognised on my PC

I've tried downloading both sets of drivers and I still have 2 - "ZTE HSUSB Device" showing up in the 'Other devices' sections with exclamation marks next to it.

When I try installing the files it says 'unable to install your ZTE HSUSB Device'

I don't know what else to do?

Can anyone help?

Strange. I plugged my SF into my W7 64 box and it just worked, no drivers required for either storage use or fastboot.

Theres a guide from another poster that I followed:

Im on windows 7.

You have to manually download the drivers and have them selected and forced into an update;

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...s/#entry1436755

Thats the link - the post by Brins0 (post #9) is what I followed and it worked for me!

hope this helps.

My SF is now recognised as a mass storage device once I click on "mount" on the phone when the option appears (it appears once you connect it to your pc)

Hi there

I'm trying to connect the Blade (bought from Wind - Greece) to my computer (Win7 x64) with problems.

As you can imagine it can't recognise the ZTE HSUSB Device. I tryied to download every zip/rar of the forum and also the android sdk, none of the files recognise this device.

As I saw, Windows has for this device this hardware id: "USB\VID_19D2&PID_1351&REV_0100&MI_01" & "USB\VID_19D2&PID_1351&MI_01"

With a quick googling, I found this. As you can see, my blade has the same Hw ID with the Racer's one. So the question is, If I insert the my hardware id to the inf as showing, will it work?

I don't know what's the usage of ZTE HSUSB device. I just want to tweak a little (flashing/rooting/etc) the blade. Is this neccessary?

Thanks a lot.
