Random signal drops

My Pulse drops signal many times (about 3-4 times a day that I see, but who knows)! Is there a solution for this? Or am I alone with this problem? I'm using J-Mod right now, a few weeks before I had FLB on it with the same problem. Unfortunately I can not remember whether the Modaco rom had such a fault or not. Is it my phone?

I guess it was switching between 2G and 3G.

It also happened to me whenever I was in my room, where 3G signal wasn't strong enough.

"2G only" setting saves more battery in such places.

3G and data connections are disabled, and wifi is enabled all the time. Should I enable 3G or data connections? Thanks for the help!

I have no other clue then.

by default, phones connect to 3g network in the first priority

and only switch to other frequencies when 3g signal level is too low

hence enabling 3G only makes signal strength fluctuation worse in most scenarios.

with my phone it happens the same. i have the 3G or the GSM forced and WIFI ON and when i unlock the screen, the network goes down and goes back sudently.

with WIFI OFF it seems ok and no signal failure.

its the same with you?

I've never tried to turn wifi off as I use it almost everywhere I go. I'll turn it off now let's see if it solves the problem. Anyway, it wouldn't be a real solution for me, I have to be online most of the time.

my phone signal goes up and down too with 3g enabled or disabled, with wifi on or off, it doesn't matter. i've never lost connection during a call so it doesn't really effect me at all and i just carry on as normal.

unless you are losing calls etc with it i wouldn't worry about it too much...

Congrats to your 200th post! :)

Sorry, I mean it drops till disconnects. I wouldn't care about losing some bars but it shows me 'X' for a second or two. The signal disconnects and when I am in a call I lose it. Really annoying. I have turned wifi off yesterday to see what's happening.

Oh and yes, I will try to hold in the other hand. ;) Let's see how this helps.
