Returning to T-Mobile stock

I'm returning to the T-Mobile stock and I've been looking at this page http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...e/#entry1318842, I'm slightly unnerved at this

"The Available internal phone memory will be reduced to 40mb (Down from 80+mb)

You will be able to install less apps"

This sounds quite bad, was the original stock T-Mobile rom 40mb and the customs roms were 80mb, or was the original T-Mobile stock 80mb and this time will it only be 40mb?

Thanks in advance.

The 1.5 roms have 80 and the 2.1 roms have 40. If you downgrade to 1.5 you'll have 80mB again.

I'de rather 2.1 and have 40MB and AS2D and install apps to the SD card, then be on that terrible 1.5 rom.

Trust me, word decision your make is going back to the stock rom.

I'm planning to go back to the 2.1 stock rom not the 1.5, I'm ok with only having 40mb if that's the amount I had with 2.1 to start off with. Thanks guys.

Why go back to the stock 2.1 rom when we have amazing custom roms that are twice as quick, twice as better, then the one your planning to go back to ?

I'll admit that they are a bit faster than the stock but not that fast, I may have done the sd setup thing wrong tho. Any ways I can always come back now that I know I can root my phone.
