Applications and processes managment

I noticed that N1 starts quite many apps and processes on its own. I was wondering if it will be possible to bake a rom that wouldn’t start unnecessary apps or processes on its own. I know that there are task killers but it will be nice to actually have something within a rom that would prevent such a thing from happening.

Why? These processes are actually doing useful stuff like checking for new pics or music on your SD card, syncing stuff, etc.

Check out the Autostarts app. With root you can disable unwanted autostarting applications.
