turn off light of home, back and menu buttons

It's very annoying to use the phone in bed at night and have this lights on,

it can not be adjusted like the screeen light

but there should be a way to turn it on and off whenever it's needed

when the phone is on sleep mode these lights are off and the phone still works on the background so I gess it should be possible

anyone?
