Pinch to zoom isn't possible on resistive screens, they can only handle one press at a time... not two points at once.

incorrect as there are android tablets such as the gpad g10 that has a resistive screen but has pinch to zoom im hoping theres a way that will carry over to mobiles

resistive screens are able to handle up to 6 points. But the software needs to be made for that.
