13.Touch Proxy

14. Enter 212.183.137.012, touch OK

21.Touch MMSC

22. Enter http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms, touch OK

23.Touch MMS proxy

24. Enter 212.183.137.012, touch OK

25.Touch MMS port

26. Enter 8799, touch OK

27. Press the MENU key

28.Touch Save

29. Touch the circle to the right of the Vodafone MMS profile you have just created.

However, I tried these settings & i can get picture messages to work.

Does anyone know the right settings?

btw - I'm on pay monthly, not PAYG

Cheers.

Internet:

Name: internet

APN: internet

Username: web

Password: web

MMS:

Name: MMS

APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk

Username: wap

Password: wap

MMSC: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

MMS proxy: 212.183.137.012

MMS port: 8799

MCC: 234

MNC: 15

APN type: mms

Fill in the above APNs tick the green box next to "internet" then reboot your phone and MMS should now work, at least it does for me anyway.

Thanks for that, but....

Still cant get it to work.

Reports back that the MMS cant be sent because the service is unavailable.

Any other ideas? :)

"APN type" should be "mms" lower case, I mistakenly put upper case on the above post but not sure if it is case sensitive. Can you receive MMS okay?

Got it working!!!

I been messing about with the APN that i originally posted & i couldnt get it working.

So, i deleted it & started a new APN from fresh. This seemed to sort it out. Also, I noticed that the MMS APN didnt have a 'Green selecter dot' next to it, which lead me to believe it had worked.

Has it definitely been activated on your account? MMS service that is.

EDIT: Ahhh okay nice one :)

hhmm. Seems i still have an issue.

I can receive MMS fine.

However, it looks like i still cant send. I tried to send a MMS but the message doesnt seem to get sent. I dont get any error message or anything, just the meassge has a envolope with a red symbol on it & never 'goes'

Do i need to enter anything into the following boxes...

'Proxy' (not MMS Proxy)

'Server'

'Authentication Type'

As this havent been set.

I would go with DasYad's comment... has MMS been enabled on your account?

I could send MMS (picture messages) with my current SIM that i had in my Samsung G600.

I shouldnt have to do anything else - should i?

Hmmmmm actually I haven't tested sending any MMS yet :)

Try adding the following to the MMS APN:

Proxy: 212.183.137.012

Port: 8799

Once you add them in reboot your phone. If that doesn't work then I suggest removing all the APNs you currently have and try to create one that should do MMS and internet all in one, like so:

Name: Internet and MMS

APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk

Proxy: 212.183.137.012

Port: 8799

Username: wap

Password: wap

MMSC: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

MMS proxy: 212.183.137.012

MMS port: 8799

MCC: 234

MNC: 15

Note that "APN type" isn't filled in with this one. If you try this one remember to tick the little radio button and then reboot and see if it works? Really hope it does if the tweak above didn't!

EDIT: Maybe this is what we in fact need, http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/topic/56720-ht...-vodafone-live/

sorry for being thick..... but whats the 'little radio button'??

The wierd thing is that it seems to 'try' & send the MMS message as i'm currently on Wi-Fi, but as soon as i try to send a MMS the 'G' box appears at the top next to the wi-fi symbol.

The little circle to the right of the APN once you've filled it. If you tick it it will fill in green.

Yeah the 'G' should pop up when you try and send an MMS because it has to use your network data connection to send it. I haven't got a small photo I can try and send now so will test mine tonight.
