Hi All,

Just a quick one. Im running the stock orange SF unlocked and on the three uk network. The google mail client doesnt seem to receive emails without a manual refresh. Ive been looking through the settings and cant find any to help me out. My understanding was that the google mail app would automatically receive emails and notify me.

Any ideas? Cheers for any replies. Apologies if ive just been overlooking something simple.

Menu -> Settings -> Accounts and sync settings

Auto-sync should be on, and within your gmail account in this same menu, "Sync Google Mail" should be selected.

has anyone seen the power output on the mains charger? isn't it something like 600mA? cant remember the voltage on top of my head. and what is the standard output from a usb port?most are 500mA aren't they? so if you leave your phone on while connected to usb port it will take much longer.

It's hardly much longer.

You've got a 1250 mAh battery like me, yeah? So charging it at 500mA takes 2hrs 30 mins, and charging it at 600mA will take 2hrs 6 mins. It's a difference of only 24 minutes, and that's assuming the battery is completely dead - which is never the case, therefore the difference in charge times will be smaller.

Glad to hear the OP got it sorted, and apologies for going off-topic.

The supplied mains charger is 700mA and it is much much faster than using the computer's USB ports.

The only time I tried charging through USB it took about 4 hours, next day I bought a UK-EUR mains adapter :P

Hi Guys. I am having the same problem with the email. My emails are coming only when i refresh. I have auto-sync on and everything on but still it doesnt pop up when i get a new email. I switch the Auto-sync off and then on again, the emails then pop up that one time.

I tried the gmail app and swapped to K-9 mail as it was able to handle my gmail and aol accounts far better.

No problem here.

Sent myself a small test mail from my desktop (isp account) to the Blade's Gmail.

It took nearly 20 seconds before I got the notification that it had arrived on the phone.
