CyanogenMod 6 port for Pulse

As always.

The problem with dta2sd is out of system memory.

The only thing you need to do is to move the RomManager.apk from /system/app to /data/app/

And you will be able to instal dta2sd then, with no problems at all.

If I will use the 2.1 Tre system partition sizes it should work without moving any files?

im running 0.40 and DTa2sd with no problem at all...

yep after taking toti advice to move rommanager.apk was able to install dta2sd.

however still find froyo a2sdext script (more sepcifically the apkmanager.sh) useful to look at and move about apps

.. however still find froyo a2sdext script (more sepcifically the apkmanager.sh) useful to look at and move about apps

yep, confirm this. i had only about 16 MB in memory, after update.

after using the script [a2sdext script (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/2636-froyo-a2sdext/page__p__24386#entry24386)] there are 40MB.

and now i run compcache enabled in cyanogen settings, vm heaps 32m and jit enabled.

so toms cm6.1 0.40 without dta2sd runs pretty smooth and snappy. (linpack 3.8xx)

I'm on 0.3 using the paid version of Vignette & I just took about 11 photos. I also opened the stock camera app during testing & took 1 photo, which did not effect the continuous usage of Vignette.. weird the free version doesn't work (confirmed by twrock) ;)

I think I know what Vignette will be doing different (basically reinitialising the hardware after each photo). I can probably get the Camera app to work by doing that, but its not a nice way to fix it.

Vignette is the answer to your question you can find it on the market :P

Its not free, so not a good enough answer.

Add this to build.prop located in system/

ring.delay=0

ro.telephony.Call_ring.delay=0

Sh4d0w940

Can anyone confirm this fixes the issue (I didn't even know there was a problem). If it works i'll add it to the build.prop.

Sorry for the question, but how shall I move the rommanager.

With ES Fileexplorer, I can't make a directory called "app" in (local)/data

Have Downloaded and confirms that it works. Also had problems with the DTapps2SD so didn't install this (have now seen the fix but will keep it as it is for a minute).

Camera still force closes after one photo, but using Camera360, Retro Camera, Photoaf is what I normally use and these take multiple photos so I can live with that.

Video camera works, although it always keeps re-focusing during filming which gets annoying on playback - not sure if there is an alternative in the market (I haven't looked)

Still have WiFi problem of it losing its connection when the device goes dormant, or when it goes out of the WiFi zone but it won't connect to it automatically - installed Blade WiFi fix from the market and this seems to have fixed it.

Certainly seems to run a lot smoother than before, and faster as well.

Well done Tom, and thanks for continuing.

I think, I've found a solution from totiadrenalin:

Terminal:

su

cp /system/app/RomManager.apk /data/app/RomManager.apk

rm /system/app/RomManager.apk

reboot recovery

But it doesn't work ;)

Mmmh, it says "can't remove ...RomManager.apk": Read-only file system

and a directory (local)/data/app seems not exitsting.

And now? Is there any expert outside..?

ciao. calculate

It's only possible to flash via clockwork? I got an error using amonra...

Edit: Well Clockwork did it, AmonRa was the problem.

I am using LauncherPro instead of ADW and it never restarted, its always in memory even though not a system version, so i guess i dont have that problem, as for the Camera i can live happily with Vignette especially when the last iteration of your port is stable and fast (i am not using JIT).

Cheers mate and keep up the good work

CM 0.4 don't want to mount my sdcard. What could be the problem? If I mount the card, Android check for errors and the tell me that the card is safe to remove. DTA2SD says it's running fine...very strange.

That should be the relevant logcat:

So far so good running 0.40

I have;

7 GB FAT32

512 MB EXT2

64 MB Swap

Installed also DTApps2SD ;) + latest gapps.

After installing all the Apps I want I still have 32 MB of memory free.

Good job Tom G :P

I would use adb to do this.

Run the following:

adb remount

adb shell

(then, inside the shell)

mv /system/app/RomManager.apk /data/app/RomManager.apk

reboot recovery
