How to install apps on SD?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but the SF is my first smart phone. I'm fast running out of built-in space on the phone, and I was expecting there to be an option to let me choose where to install apps. My SD card is all but empty. Where is this option or am I in fact limited to the internal space for apps?

I was having a similar experience with that.
