No phone signal

My friend`s omnia doesnt have signal at all.

every time I try to to turn the phone on(the signal....not the actual phone)...it just doesnt work

for example when i try to call smb....it asks me to turn the phone on...I tap Yes...and nothing

the signal icon is still with the X on it.

the wifi and bluetooth works..

I`ve tried all the roms on the forum...even the original rom

hi i had the same prob 4 weeks ago.

i put in the sim card of my gf and the phone worked well.

My problem was that my sim card was defect.

after i went to the provider and putted a new card in the phone he worked back as normal

I`ve tried tons of sim cards....from different providers...this is not the problem

well...yes...the flight mode is always on....but when I try to switch it off.....nothing happens.

I`ve tried ALL the possible methods...it doesn`t switch off.

Not even when I flash a new ROM in the phone...

Try a Hard Reset.

try to reflash the phone part...

if the phone part is broken the windows works but it's always in flight mode

I`ve hard reset it....I`ve also flashed it and reflashed it....I`ve tried lots of roms...even the original rom...the 6.1(this one has the "phone" part)

first i flash it from i900DZIA5_updater_vista...since then the prob start.

When i had this happen it was a hardware problem with the radio. sorry.

I also have the same problem.......I think it's not the ROM or hardware issue!

I have formatted both phone and storage card, but nothing works! Also, tried other SIMs, still it doesn't work!

Even when I manually search for the network from "main menu--->settings--->Personal--->Phone--->Network", it search all the available networks and when I try to register for my provider, it shows - "Cannot register on selected network. Choose another network, or disconnect data connection and try again."

What to do??

I have found a solution!

1. Type *#1546792*#. This is the administrator panel.

(If it ask for password at anytime, use *#81230*#)

2. Open [ 3] Network-Call Setting

3. Change settings of [ 4] Network order. Originally, it was "Auto", I changed it to "GSM first".

PS: Don't play with other menus, it may lock your phone. Any how it's detecting network of all the SIMs. Still, if above don't work, change settings of [ 1] Power On Attach. Originally, it was "Detach", I changed it to "Attach". But with this setting, it's showing Edge Icon on leftmost side of network icon. Although, there are no data sessions active!

they said it was ic prob...

maybe right....maybe wrong....

THIS WORKED FOR ME. I entered the 1., and it immediatelly asked if i want to turn on the phone part. YES, I tried to turn it on samsung data manager for ages but it was always in flight mode. This happened to me after a day of heavy use of WMWifirouter !!! thanks for this forum... again... latest steff rom
