Guest thewrs Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 (edited) Something similar has happened to me except that the phone appears to be totally unresponsive. Upon pressing power button absolutely nothing happens not even the light comes on. Holding the various combinations of back+power, voldown+power etc make no difference. It appears to be completely and utterly dead! It's not a battery issue for me. Edited October 9, 2010 by thewrs

Please help me. Thank you for all in advance I had these bad experience before. Don't pull the battery out of the phone when you flashed a new radio or rom. Just be patience, won't touch anything on your phone when you saw a box & an android robot out of the box. It was working in the background. Unfortunately, I have to tell you that your phone is a brick completely. You can send the "brick" back to repairing centre, they'll replace a new main board for your phone with free of charge.

Guest thewrs Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 (edited) So we might be able to get away with playing dumb and claiming the desire just suddenly stopped working? I bought it from phones4u, orange network locked and branded, manufactured by HTC of course. Who would be the best people to speak to about a repair/replacement? Note: If orange didnt fill my phone with crap and constantly delay froyo update I probably wouldnt be in this mess :) Thanks in advance Edited October 9, 2010 by thewrs

They reported that a main board had been replaced after an inspection. Edited October 9, 2010 by fujitsurainman
