Tiny dots visible on screen

On my SF if I hold it at just the right angle in bright light I can see a dot matrix on the screen, is this normal?

In other words I can see evenly spaced dots on the screen, like little diamonds, about half a cm apart.

It is invisible under normal use but sometimes I see it and think "Is that a common thing?" so let me know!

This is normal, its part of the touch screen matrix, the actual screen sits underneath this layer, and can only been seen as you know under bright light at an angle.
