Guest pd555 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 I have an issue with WiFi on the Desire which I have been unable to solve. Basically when loading a webpage the browser freezes at 10% for ages and then eventually loads. This is extremely annoying and makes Internet unusable. This happens with all browsers (I usually use stock or XScope). Sometimes rebooting the wireless router clears this problem for a bit making me think it could be this, not the phone but I'm not sure. Its a Belkin N router by the way. I have tried R9 N wifi always on (using now) and G Wifi always on. The same problem occurs on both. It also happened on R8 too. Any other devices are fine on the same Wifi (laptop, desktop, ipod touch) I've never noticed the problem when using 3G but weak signal at home so only use at work I'm out of ideas so any help gratefully received

Guest naguz Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Try the non-always on-version. There is no need for the always on one, at least not for anyone I know of using r8. If you set it to never sleep in adv. settings, it won't.

Trying out a static ip for Desire now to see if that sorts it. That may be the issue. Will pop back with an update.
