Guest tomqman Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 reason for my mod: back cover kept coming of in my pocket resulting in streak off and me missing very important calls. ease of mod: very easy instructions: follow this guide up until you have the back part of the case off. then locate the lever at the bottom near a ribbon cable. use a tiny amount of hot glue to hold it down. then resemble the streak. check my pictures out location of lever glued down hard to see in photo proof that it works
Guest cowballz Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) Good work, however i achieved the same thing just now by putting a tiny tiny piece of paper in that slot and it works perfectly, thanks for starting the idea though!!! Its nice to be able to take the cover off and swap cards now :) Edited October 12, 2010 by cowballz

Guest adzman808 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 care to snap some pic of ur streak using this method? cant imagine how to put pice of paper there.. thanks in advance!! it would be very hard to take a picture of this method. i'll try & explain it tho.... look at the very first picture in this thread, observe the location of the red circle you'll see the lever is on the outside edge of the device. when you take the back cover off your steak you'll notice the little hooks that hold the cover on one of these hooks (the one that matches up with where the red cricle is on the picture) despresses a small lever that is not visibile with the streak assembled you need to use card to wedge this level in place - to replicate the cover being in place the piece of crad you use should be very thin (i used a flyer) i cut mine into a V shape, so that the hook on the battery cover can still fit in there (the hook on the cover fits into the well of the V shape) do note that if you f this up, you'll almost certainly have to take apart the streak to get the card out... the card will be approx 5mm long & 2-3mm high worked for me, cheers
Guest irenic Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 thanks for the guide Adzman! so i should put the tiny card into the hole right.. sounds easy but risky.. hmm
Guest adzman808 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 yup tiny bit of card inside of the tiny hole that the back cover hook slips into i used a pin to guide the card in!
