Guest BooToo Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Hi Guys, I have rooted my streak last night (O2 with original 2.1) using Superboot. Everything worked fine but it seems that the (in)famous Dell Programers managed to put a warning when root is enabled. Every 30 secondes, the back/menu/home flash 3 times. Anybody with a workaround to disable that? I can live with it but batterie wise, I'll be better without it. Many thanks
Guest jsm7483 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Scroll down on the same page as the post if you don't want to search. http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...-flashing-leds/
Guest BooToo Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I do not see any clear solution in this post but thanks for the effort. I guess I am going to live with it for now as the trigger was the install of superboot for me. Not a new rom flashed

Then to root use universal androot. It does not cause flashing lights.
Guest ratapoil Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 I've used UniversalAndroot and flashed my Streak with 1.6 O2 (i'm french with 1.6 FR and need to flash stock 1.6 to upgrade to 2.1) and my Streak's touch buttons are flashing too ! Gonna flash in 2.1 but hoping the buttons will stop flashing...
Guest parks387 Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) try flashing to a stock recovery, then flashing 2.5.0.1-streak-clockworkrecovery (found in 2.1 how to's thread), then to whichever build you would like. worked for me. (stock recovery 4399 from that same thread is what I used) Edited October 12, 2010 by parks387
Guest ratapoil Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) Thanks for your answer, but I've already flashed the 4399 stock recovery (was necessary to flash an O2 formware...). So can I flash directly the clockworkrecovery ? [sorry for my bad english...] Edited October 12, 2010 by ratapoil

So can I flash directly the clockworkrecovery ? [sorry for my bad english...] That is what I did. Once you flash the stock recovery make sure you have update.zip on your sd card and then flash 2.0.5.1 clockwork mod. Once flashed pull the battery and boot holding both vol + power. Select option 2 Select option for install update.zip from sd card Select option Choose zip from sd card Select yes Let me know how far you get with clockworkmod
