2.2 radio compatible with 2.1 ROM ?

I want to go from Leedroid 2.1a (Android 2.2) to MCR r3.1 (Android 2.1) due to Car Kit problems. Is it necessary to flash another radio? If yes, how to do that?

I'm not sure about that, but I never saw in any radio related post that someone recommends a certain version of Android. So I assume that the radio can work with both without problem
