Guest Shrewsburypete Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 I've unlocked my san francisco and loaded the r3 rom and been using a 3 UK sim for several days. I looked at my phone last and it had selected the orange network even though it had my 3 sim in it. I manually selected 3 UK and it's been ok since - why would this happen? Around the same time I had a problem with the memory card not being accessible which was corrected by reseating it and a switch off - could the two issues be related?
Guest Cardblower Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 My daughter's Nokia N97 mini does this occassionally, except she's on O2, and it sometimes selects Orange. Just wonder if its a bug in the firmware. Obviously this problem is not just an Android issue. regards Andy

Guest rjm2k Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 was it roaming? just wondering if your own network went down and it picked up a roaming partner?
Guest hillmie87 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Strange, never had any issue with my phone. Who did u use to get your phone unlock btw?
Guest con500 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 3UK uses the Orange 2G network when the 3G signal drops. As flibblesan says. The 3 network piggyback on Orange network when signals are weak
