I watched a vid of Pauls earlier showing the r3 on the San Francisco in action, booting up etc, screens and the likes.

Just dawned on me sometime later that it went online and logged into tvcatchup and watched an itv station, I thought it needed Flash 10 for that?

I logged into tvcatchup on my SF and sure enough it said I needed flash and provided a link but it couldn't install to the SF.

Am I missing something here?...apart from flash lol

Confused r' us :)

Ah right, that could explain it, never knew there was a dedicated mobile site, will try that later.

Cheers

Just grabbed the mob and surfed in to m.tvcatchup.com, no joy, still getting the 'TVCatchup requires the Adobe Flash Player "Install Flash Now" :)

There seems to be some issues with the audio sync when watching TVCatchup

Anyone else experiencing it?

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and reloading?

Make sure you are going to http://m.tvcatchup.com and logging in.

I get some artifacts and it loses audio sync after a min or two. The same thing happens with myplayer (iplayer).

How come these phones can play iplayer/youtube and tvcatchup without Flash?

I get the sync problem too. It makes streaming pretty pointless IMHO. Any ideas why this happens?

It must be just http:// only,no www. in the url. My browser was putting the www after the http:// the first time I tried it so make sure yours isn't doing it as well. I noted the problems with myplayer/beebplayer quality over wifi last week in a seperate thread HERE

The wifi stream only works fine if you use a device like mifi and connect to it over wifi. The beeb must check what network the stream request comes in from i.e landline broadband or mobile network?

Fibblesan nailed it, the error of my ways was leaving the www in, removed that and I got a different interface asking for my viewing preference HQ or Low, hit the HQ and selected a channel and it played fine, happy days :) thought I was going nuts lol

No sync issues btw, all was good.

Thanks for the many inputs, Cheers :)

Mine loses audio sync after about a minute on both high and low quality of m.tvcatchup over wifi.

The audio is always ahead of the image so I suspect stutters in the image playback aren't being corrected.

I get it on the Desire too, think it is just the site.
