Hi. Bought this on recommendation (here, thanks) and intend to load up a decent amount of music and video (and "apps to SD" if recommended) in time.

I'm more than happy to then manage that element i.e. I'm not desperate to retain the absolute maximum amount of space for music/video to the detriment of something else - "system type stuff" - more worthy.

Given that, are there any suggestions - "specific" &/or "thought processes I need to go though first" - to move me from the current 2GB card to a sensibly structured 16GB one?...or doesn't it need to be addressed at this stage?

I have access to Ubuntu if that's relevant to filesystems etc..

Hopefully this will be of advantage to others in similar position. Ta.

I've had the SF over a week now and only today read the guide that came with it, towards the back it states....

"Maximum capacity of memory card 8GB"

The orange website says expandable to 32GB (micro SD). So would be interesting to see what does work!

It came with a manual :) now where would I have left that? :)

I'm waiting for my 16GB sd to come, I've read you need to partition it to run apps from it, other than that I guess you just copy eveything over from the one that came with it.

I did say I had it over a week before I picked it up :D

Strange how the manufacturer says max 8GB and the seller says 32GB.....

Talk about right hand not knowing what the left is doing :)

But as long as it does work with the higher capacity that's good

Only joking, no idea where mine went, sites like this make you rush in and mod your phone before you've even read how to officially switch the thing on :)
