Help with Fastboot on ATT Streak

I am trying to updgrade my ATT Streak with Steve's Froyo but I can't seem to get into the bootloader/ Fastboot screen (camera button/ power). I have removed the battery and then replaced. I can get into the standard recovery screen but just can't seem to get the bootloader up even after holding the buttons for 15 seconds.

Everything else seems to work great with the phone.

ATT Streak running build 8105 2.1

Rooted

Baseband is 21

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would like to try the Froyo goodness. Thanks.

Thanks aglow. What's odd is when I take the battery out, replace it and hold down camera/ power I cannot get to calibrate/ fastboot. The screen stays black and the Streak doesn't start into bootloader. Worked fine on a beta U.S. Streak I had??

Try installing the recovery.alt.zip file located at the link below, it's in the first post. Those that have had problems with a black screen have been able to use the alt file to get fast boot to work.

Switch on then as soon as you see the dell logo press the camera button, dont press them both at once

Thats for recovery mlee1999 wants to get into the bootloader screen, presumably to flash a new/custom recovery

mlee1999 if you just want to flash the clockwork recovery so that you can run the update.zip for froyo then as long as you have root [if you don't google universal androot] in your current ROM then you will be able to flash a recovery from terminal emulator.

So, download your recovery to your sdcard- name it whatever you like in this example recoveryCW.img dowload Terminal Emulator from the market if you havent already

Open terminal emulator, enter these commands

su

flash_image recovery sdcard/revoceryCW.img
If like you say you can get into recovery then either reboot your phone from terminal emulator
 reboot

then hold down the vol buttong + the power buttton to get into recovery or switch off your device and go into recovery that way

Hope this helps :)
