Guest dwattsy21 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 When rooting my phone, i get to the stage on cmd where you go to flash the fastboot-window flash boot boot.blade.superboot.mcri.r3.img to the phone, but it just says "waiting for device" Has anybody found a way around this? I don't see how you are supposed to mount the phone when it is just on the green android screen, or should it do it automatically?? Do you need device drivers installed on the computer first? Cheers, Dave
Guest dwattsy21 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Been doing a bit of reading, and am now unsure if you have to install a device driver first. Where do you get this from? Everytime i plug my phone in, it tries to install a driver but cannot locate it? Dave
Guest blue-e Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 The problem you and everyone else with this problem face is that the phone drivers are either incorrectly installed or not there at all. There are a few topics on this forum with links to the windows drivers. Dave
Guest grogan197 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Hi, Yeah I had that problem at first as was using Win 7 64Bit and it didn't have the driver. They were posted by flibblesan on another thread. The link to the drivers is here http://flibblesan.co.uk/android/zte_driver.zip

Do I just download it and leave it, or does it have to be actually isntalled somehwere? Cheers, Dave
Guest dwattsy21 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I've downloaded th drivers and extracted them, plugged the phone in, browsed for them and installed it, but still not working! Anything else?
Guest grogan197 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 What OS are you using? Make sure you select the right folder for your OS when installing drivers as windows tried using the vista driver instead of the win7 one for me.
