Guest orionthehunter Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) Hi All (Noob Alert), Sorry this may sound like a silly Q but regarding Ap2SD how do you setup the SD card in Windows XP? I ask as everywhere I have looked A Linux environment is required. Phone is rooted, R3 and Clockworked.. Thanks James Edited October 11, 2010 by orionthehunter
Guest JohnMetz Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Hi James I looked for this too and decided it was just as easy to use a GPareted Live CD GParted Live CD boot to that. It takes a short while to boot, but seems straightforward to use. I am not a Linux type either. john

Guest orionthehunter Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Gparted live cd or Ubuntu live cd is also good. Do I boot/put this on my Phone or SD card or is it for WinXp? Just the IMG file extension has thrown me (Yeah I noob to this hehe) Thanks for the help :)
Guest randal24 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) I've just done this using a Fedora live boot stick, 15.5gb Fat32 volume with a 512mb ext2 on the end as per Paul's recommendation. Took a while for the phone to stabilise after reapplying an r3 kitchen baked ROM with A2SD, was slow as hell for about 10-15 minutes. Pleasantly surprised to see all my apps there after the update (presuming this is normal?) The problem I've got now is that my task manager crashes when I check resources, and all my applications running in tasks are shown as "unknown" under their descriptions. Permissions problem? Paul/Flib, help! edit - I cannot ls my /system/sd - is this normal? Edited October 11, 2010 by randal24
