Guest tmobilepulse Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I just experience a terrible service in Orange Store in Wolverhampton. I bought a San Francisco on 23rd September. However, the screen looks pink then other phones. When I compared it with my friend's San Francisco, I found mine is more pink than his. I went the Orange Store in Dudley Street, Wolverhampton to exchange the phone. The staff in store are very rude. They ignored the pink screen and refused in a rude way. I asked to meet the manager in store but he did not appear by all kinds of reason. They told me they did not see the pink screen and asked me to go to another store in Menders Centre, Wolverhampton. I went there and experience the same things. i got to make a complaint for it. Two staff are very rude. There are Neil in Menders Centre, Carol and Matthew in Dudley Street.
Guest fluxcapacitor Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) You need to remove their names from your post else I believe you may be liable for defamation!? This forum isn't the right place to complain, call or write to orange hq Edited October 11, 2010 by fluxcapacitor

Give @orangehelpers a tweet on Twitter. If the phone has a defect then you have 14 days to exchange it.

You know all the time I've been going down there and only knew of 1 Orange shop (upstairs level, Argos entrance), imagine my surprise when a mate said hurry up down here I've got a NHS payslip and they got 2 SF left we can have for £89 each inc £10 top up, couldn't find him so rang and he said I'm at the one lower level down by Asda end.... Never knew that was there, must be going round with my blinkers on :) Sure they told us a swap within 14 days if faulty Edited October 11, 2010 by john306
Guest cmberry20 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Sorry, i meant 14 days, not 7 Anyhoos, 14 days have now past - but its still under warranty for 1 year against faults.
Guest tmobilepulse Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 I told them the faulty problem at the third day I bought it. However, they refused exchange or refund by stating it is common and normal. Until last weekend, I just compare my phone with my friend's phone. I found it was really a faulty issue. :)

If its not a fault then it is not of satisfactory quality. You have a right under "The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended)" to obtain a repair/replacement/refund. Use the word doc template from http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theoneshow/cons...tter_downl.html Send it Special Delivery. If they fail to respond in 7 days, contact your local Trading Standards office (by phone) www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/business/trading_standards/faultygoods/default.htm , let them advice if you should contact Orange HQ or Area Manager first, don't forget to mention you have informally discussed the issue in person and also written a formal letter of complaint. Cheers, Nick. Edited October 12, 2010 by Nick Rhodes

Guest steve1221 Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Can I just add, don't just send it to any random Orange address. There's are thousands of phone's coming in everyday. It could take days/weeks to track it without a returns number as it'll not get to the right dept without one. If you get no where with the store you need to contact the Exec office (the agents at CS can't do a great deal about the stores are their run as a separate division and they have no access to any retail system). If you need the Exec office info pm me.

Thanks for your help! You can write to the store, but I don't know if they would reply or have to pass it up the line to be answered by someone higher? I have no idea how much a store manager can do these days? I'd think that any reply would have to be checked by legal before it could be sent, but I really don't know. In any event, I would doubt you'd get a reply in 7 days no matter what you put in your letter.

They just do not want to do that. I will contact the customer direct if they do not reply in 7 days. Many thanks!

Guest tmobilepulse Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 have finished the letter. will post it tomorrow!
Guest RottenFoxBreath Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) have finished the letter. will post it tomorrow! I wouldn't send a letter or complain to the store, they are your problem. Complain/write to their head office/head dept. and they will arrange for a replacement, repair/refund, etc, from the store. Let them do it, not you, as IMO, writing to the store is pointless, as they are the twats who told you to do one.. Before you post the letter, give Consumer Direct a call, on 08454 04 05 06, and have a gander at their site here! * - Aren't some of the shops franchise's?, as if they are, franchise's are sometimes really **** at customer service.
