Guest Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 As we know, the boot animation has the colorful winds behind the dell logo and then there's a still dell logo until your homescreen is loaded. Before the winds, though, there's also a still dell logo. This isn't apart of the bootanimation.zip, so where is it located then?
Guest HoTdiGiTi Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 The animated part of the logo is the boot animation, this is located in the system/media/bootanimation.zip on the phone. Ive changed mine to a Superman logo (childish i know). Dont know how to remove the first dell logo, or add sound. YET!
Guest fards Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 first bootllogo is the rle compressed image. its part of boot.img
Guest JaysFreaky Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 first bootllogo is the rle compressed image. its part of boot.img That's what I needed to know. I'm guessing I'd have to extract the .img file and such?
Guest JaysFreaky Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Looks like this is also in an extracted form under /initlogo.rle However, I'm not quite sure how to open it under Windows. There seems to be ways in Linux.
Guest JaysFreaky Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Installed a vmware Ubuntu install and got my RLE created. Re-packaged it into a new boot.img and re-flashed Steve's first Froyo install using boot, system and userdata.img (obviously using the boot I made). Not only is the logo I used not there, but now it's not loading anything. I'll restore using his boot for now, but any ideas what's up?
