LG GT 540 Optimus issue

Hi,

I have had a LG GT540 sinch launch in UK, my first smart phone. I like the phone.

However, I have a small issue in as much as when I was deleting text threads I rec'd a message and it was deleted before being read I think. So now, I have a "phantom" message that appears in my notifications bar. I can clear it ok, but cant open it and on my lock svreen it says I have one message, even though there is nothing there.

Any ideas on how to clear this ?

Should I download a text App, , then revert to normal App ?
