Oops I used fastboot and removed everything; anyway to access sdcard if you can't boot?

I was trying to downgrade from 2.2 to 1.6 before the excellent guide was here and I screwed up.

I copied 2.1 Update.pkg to sdcard when I could boot to Froyo (2.2)

I then put the 2.1 recovery using fastboot.

Booted to Recovery and selected option 2, Update using Update.pkg on sdcard.

Loads and gave me the FOTA error mismatched numbers or something.

I searched and found this option:

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c -w

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase system

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase recovery

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase boot

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c reboot

Now recovery won't load the Update.pkg at all. It goes blank.

I've tried nearly every recovery option on this board, all the same thing.

Clockwork recovery doesn't work, goes to regular recovery and then blank again.

I don't have access to a microsd adapter to load a different Update.pkg. I will buy one if that will fix it.

Am I screwed?

Thanks for your time!

Take the micro SD card out and put it into an SD adapter and then put it into a card reader. Then copy files you need onto sd card...

I just imagined the Update.pkg I put on the sdcard when it was accessible was good since it was running fine except for the FOTA mismatch error.

I'm out of town and the micro to sd adapter I have is at home but since from your posts you seem to know what you're doing I'll go pick one up and give that a try. Thanks.

I got a microsd adapter and that didn't help, no matter what Update.pkg I use it goes straight to black screen from option 2 (Update from sdcard).

I was thinking of doing the original 2.2 baseband update using fastboot but Stephen removed it with the 2nd update of 2.2

Any suggestions?

I can't progress from the recovery menu at all no matter what recovery I use!

if it goes to a black screen try using the newer recovery image linked in 2.1 sticy it sometimes works, if not try others all can be flashed in fastboot
