Guest ASY9650 Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) With the ROM I downloaded I found that not all the apps were not the ones found in Eclair but in fact the ones from the old 1.6 ROM. However, I found this forum post on another site, http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-app...apps-2-1-a.html but these don't seem to be working, Has anyone had any better luck or any ideas where to find these? Guest RottenFoxBreath Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) Just noticed that...It was working earlier, Maybe they have removed it. Damn. Either way, Can anyone help with the APK's needed/whatever method of installation for the gallery to be updated to the one that comes with most variations of Android please?. What you get in 2.1 is what you get with the LG GT540. Theres a few 2.1 roms out now, and they all are basically the same, and some old or new apps don't work with different android versions..Like the camera for instance, the 1.6 version won't work on 2.1. Guest ASY9650 Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Thanks for that , makes sense now. I thought that was the case with the different ROMS available, Just making sure I haven't missed out on anything =P.

At the moment, you could see the Baltic rom as a clean slate, the most basic 2.1 without any crap from operators or regional specific tat installed. From then, install what you want. I never used any of the rubbish that was pre-installed on the uk 1.6, so to not have it on 2.1 and let me install what i wanted instead of foursquare, shitzam and other pieces of tat, IMO, was better.

Isn't the Baltic one the one that comes with the Russian dating app along with Yandex maps and mail.ru app? Not to mention Balda and Sports Express.
