Guest EMMJAY Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 I installed FLB1 with Apps2SD and kept getting a few force quit errors whilst using different parts of the phone. do these errors only occur just after installation, or do they persist?

Did you wipe? I'm sure that on a fresh, wiped install, there are no force closes.

Guest mrand Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Did you enable A2sd AND Swap?? When i did this the first boot and the minutes after it were a complete mess...

Guest DanWilson Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) yes i followed the guide. Try rebooting. It's all I can think of. If everything keeps force closing, wipe everything (except your SD card) and flash again. You aren't on the Hungarian Update are you? Took me a while. You have your answer above. Guest mrand Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 yes enabled both Ah, but i think its "normal" then :) Just wait some time, restart and try the "lowmem-moderate" thing from Azurren´s Guide! At least this helped to finally speed up my phone, hope it´s the same with yours!
Guest Krinyo Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Or try in terminal: su a2sd lowmem-optimum
Guest mrand Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) Or try in terminal: su a2sd lowmem-optimum Did you try both settings?? Doesn´t the optimum use Swap-partition more often and is therefore slower? (Sorry, if this complete nonsense.. :)) Edited October 12, 2010 by mrand
Guest EMMJAY Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 ok im screwed now....i cant open up the terminal app...it forces me to close it cos its not responding.
Guest mrand Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 don´t worry! this is also normal :) Just download Terminal Emulator again from Market or use the Termfix in the FLBmod thread and it works again :)
Guest EMMJAY Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 don´t worry! this is also normal :) Just download Terminal Emulator again from Market or use the Termfix in the FLBmod thread and it works again :) what size should ext2 be if i am using a class 2 2GB SD card?
Guest mrand Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 what size should ext2 be if i am using a class 2 2GB SD card? First of all, as i read, it is not (at all) recommended to use both, Swap and A2sd, on a class 2 sd!! I´m not quite sure what the results will be like, but i personally bought a class 6 card to make full benefit of all this! :) Concerning your question, ext2 is the space for apps i think, so its up to you and your preferences. i´m using a 512mb ext2 which seems to be enough for a lot of apps :) but i have 8GB and not only 2... Your "problem" might be to find the apropriate swap size (i think 32 mb on class 2) but as mentioned above: I don´t think it is very recommended to use A2SD AND Swap on a class 2 card, think about getting a better one! Hope this helped, cheers! m
