We're still here, don't worry. We'll tweet before the stock is live; our merchandisers are working to get it in and online soon

Samsung Galaxy Tab (1GHz ARM Cortex A8 Hummingbird single-core processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU probably totally unused by this test)

114,000 max, going down to 110,000 after 2 minutes (tested twice with consistent results).

I'm glad to hear about the higher results from the NVidia Tegra 2 T250, which shows that it is not just GPU power, but also raw computational performance. Imagine this chess solver optimized for dual core processing !! B)

If the app you're testing with is multithreaded and able to take full advantage of the two cores on the Vege that number looks plausible.

i don't think the program is using more than 1 core in the moment.

the PC program can be setup to use 1-8 cores (if you would have a pc with 8 cores).

but i doubt the compilated versions for mobiles or pads has this function implemented yet.

of course with the devices coming with more than 1 core, the programmers will maybe reconsider

and make the program multi-cpu/core usage.

i will ask the programmer. IMO what we see with all the different results is the different types of CPUs have different types

of performance. take e.g. the cpu in the palm pre overclocked to 1 Ghz and relate it with the HTC HD2 and android also on 1 Ghz.

the snapdragon cpu in the HTC mobile is much faster than the cpu in the palm pre.

and as it seems the tegra2 in the advent vega is faster than those 1 Ghz snapdragon cpus.
