Guest Matty-p Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) just so you all know for those of you still on orange (like me) you can get both t-mobile and orange signal on your phone now which is great if you don't have good signal now or just anyway because you never know when you might be some where with no orange signal but with t-mobile signal . it is free but you must sign up you can do this here http://bit.ly/orngt-m you need to have your mobile number and said phone handy .charges stay the same :) instructions on how to set up on website post below if you have done it or have questions from orange's website '"Call and text in even more places Now you can pick up a signal from both the Orange and T-Mobile networks in the UK which means that you can call and text in even more places. Your phone will use T-Mobile signal if it doesn't pick up an Orange signal Your charges stay the same when you use T-Mobile signal Nothing else will change, you'll just get more network coverage" EDIT:as below its just Calls and TXT's and 2g for now 3G and the rest will be soon. Web Design / Backend / Maptiling / iPhone Apps / Android Apps Safeguard can be turned off via orangeworld.co.uk on 3G in youraccount if you have done it before otherwise ring up Customer services they will do it, (they have to do it first time - 18 check) Orange - but technically the Everything Everywhere company - we make stuff for both companies now (was Freeserve a long long long long time ago) Edited October 12, 2010 by StevenHarperUK

Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) Yes your right gprs (2G does work) As for doing it all without roaming - well as you know each network requires different APN's and other "stuff" I am not a Mast Engineer, or an expert in these matters, however I am certain they are well on with just making it all work. Hence the 2g data and calls - quick solution you get now. As far as I know I think the update time (re-check to see if your back in range of your normal network) is about 30 mins - then you switch back. Edited October 12, 2010 by StevenHarperUK
