What are the main issues, and would I need to use a class 6 SD card? not replying to your issue, just saying that i am exactly the same? im on FLB MOD 1.5, with an 8gb class 6 sd with swap, and it feels quick enough and with no SMS problem. but is CM6 better? :)
Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Issues? :) For normal use there are no problems, only the gps is a little buggy. I would definitly reccomend it. CM has some very handy options. For example "lock messaging app in memory" so you'll never lose an sms again. Sh4d0w940

Is there a .zip of it yet, instead of doing all the complicated stuff to install it?

It is not that complicated, since you probably are able to flash the recovery image you can flash these too. And yes there are some issues: Known Bugs No bluetooth Wifi MAC is incorrect Camera fails if you take multiple photos. Manual network selection doesn't work. Apps won't install to SD. CM6 has an option to force all apps to internal (disable froyo sd apps), use that until the problem is fixed. But those are just not working and because I don't use them anyway there are no issues for me. And a sidenote to the last bug is that old-style A2SD is working perfectly. Sh4d0w940

Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Difference between old style A2SD And New one? :) New one is the built-in froyo feature which doesn't work (yet). The old one is a script like the one from Darktremor Sh4d0w940

Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Oh i see, Cheers. Do we know why the built in Froyo one don't work yet? afaik it has to do with the kernel version, we use .29 and for froyo .32 is better. Then we could also use the usb and wifi tether functions. Sh4d0w940

Barnacle is working on froyo, just not the built-in feature. I also don't use it a lot, but it can be very handy when I'm away with my netbook. Sh4d0w940
