Help with themes

Hi Guys,

I am new to Android and EXTREMELY confused. I managed to replace Android 1.5 with a FLB 1.7 and now I would like to install the themes i found here. Can someone please provide a step by step instruction on how to do that?

I did a search, but could not find a step by step idiots guide.

Can I install any theme or they are dependent on the modifed ROM's?

Didn't search well enough did you?

You can only flash the themes on this forum. And they are ROM dependant.

Thanks for the welcome. I did search, but it all looks so confusing. The thread you pointed to actually helped me replace the 1.5 with the FLB 1.7

So let me get this straight: I will need to look for themes that are compatible with FLB 1.7? Is that correct.

All themes on this forum that don't say "for FROYO" or "for CM6" should work with FLB 1.7.

Although it normally says in the first post about ROMs and stuff.

And you should Nandroid backup before each theme if you're too lazy to reflash the ROM and set everything up again.

It's a mistake I've made and will never learn from.

Well there are some ooooooooold themes as well but like you said, pretty much all the themes that are not made specifically for FroYo or CM6 will work. Just be sure it says they are intended for Android 2.1 and you're set :) Cheers!
