Guest IBeastI Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I know it is a longshoot, but my usb port is broken, and i only have charging capabilities on my pulse now i would like to install some custom roms, coz on oficial 2.1 stock camera is broken (it restarts the phone completly) so now, is it possible to install custom image recovery without usb cable? trough wireless or bluetooth maybe? i know you have to enter that blue screen mode, but it doesn't hurt to ask :) thx ^^
Guest John Hamelink Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Ditto. I'm on the same boat =/
Guest h3dshot Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 erm i dont think it is possible without usb cable, sorry to shoot down whatever hopes u had:P it would be extremely difficult to do it over bluetooth/wifi which is why i think theres nothing of the sort available. but then again i havent been ont hese forums much lately so my opinion my be invalidated by someone with a bit more knowledge :)

Guest Basher52 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 The Mainboard i fixed was also heavy damaged, but following the lines and solder some cabpes fixed the port for me. If you get a picture, i can help you to fix it.

Didn't someone work out how to flash through serial too? part of the boot debugging that was done for froyo etc. edit: here you go http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...-on-the-pulse/# looks like you can root if you load the image (eg recovery) you want onto sd, add the flash_image program and connect to the pulse using a serial cable you can hack together for a few quid probably worth double checking with TomG that it worked ok though Edited October 14, 2010 by rjm2k

As you know upgrading to 2.1 removes custom recovery so it's useless for me. But if someone could do that and help me i'd be happy ;-)
