Guest BK2FUT Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I've followed all the provided instructions, but when I get to this step: - Select the option 'Module Test', then 'Stability Test' then 'Enable Root Permission' The problem is, there *is* no option to "Enable Root Permission." All I have is: Data Abort Prefetch Abort Kernel Panic Abort by User Mode :)
Guest ilovelg Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 When you creating topic like this, please specify more information... I would like to know what Android OS version you are using ? Is it 1.6 (Donut) or 2.1 (Eclair) ?
Guest RottenFoxBreath Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) 1.6 Use Universal Androot that I have attached. Unzip it, and put it on your SD card, and use something like Astro File Manager to install it. It's pretty foolproof, just follow the prompts.UniversalAndroot_1.6.2_beta5.zip Edited October 14, 2010 by RottenFoxBreath

Guest ASY9650 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Can you give me the link to RottenFoxBreath post? Thanks. I'm guessing he means, the post RottenFoxBreath made above about using Universal Androot.
Guest RottenFoxBreath Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 I'm guessing he means, the post RottenFoxBreath made above about using Universal Androot. Doesn't work on 2.1 though...it was only meant for the guy who is still on 1.6.
Guest ASY9650 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 My bad...didn't see his post. Thought it was leading on from the following posts.
