Guest Aaron P Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 ok so I have had my phone for 3 weeks. i just rooted it today using unrevoked. worked great. then after some research i found this rom and downloaded the following r8-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-signed.zip copied it to my phone and went through the process of installing it. the phone rebooted and hangs at the htc screen. only way I found to get it back working is to pull the battery and restore my backup. any suggestions on how to get this installed. i want to try this rom. it looks to be the best.

Guest David_P Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 How long was it "hung" as the rom takes a good 10 - 15 minutes on the first boot? As above also, did you do a full wipe? David P

David P I did not do a full wipe. I didn't think that was neccessary. if i do a wipe, what about the apps that I have. should I back them up with titanium? Will that allow me to restore my apps and data? update now I did a wipe from the recovery menu and tried again. I let it sit for almost an hour and a half and still the same thing. just sat at the bright htc screen. any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Edited October 14, 2010 by Aaron P

Maybe there is something wrong with that? Why don't you try baking yourself a new one in the R9 Kitchen? Regards, Kiran
