Guest dragon2611 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Hey all, My contract term ended today with my carrier so I could if I wanted to get a new phone (Desire or Galaxy S) currently using a t-mobile pulse mini that I unlocked. Bit of history: Had a Samsung Galaxy (i7500) as my last contract upgrade which left a very bitter taste in my mouth after Samsung's lack of support for it (Never offically got anything newer than 1.5 in the UK i believe, unless they've updated it recently, currently lent that device to a friend and flashed a 1.6 update from another reigon on it.) Then out of frustration bought a blackberry curve and used my SIM in that instead. Then got bored of the blackberry and went back to Android with a T-mobile Pulse mini (Huawei u8110) which I have now.... The question is now do I take a Desire/GalaxyS on a new contract (2year minimum term though) or is it worth just changing to a 30 rolling day sim-onlyplan (saving some money on the line rental) and then waiting a bit for the newer phones to come out. I know for a fact I won't keep the same phone for 2 years even if I did take out a new 2 year minimum term contract with the provider. (Not that it bothers them if you opt to use a different handset than the one they supplied)
