Tried everything for internet on giffgaff

but still no joy. Have correctly entered single settings for gprs and mms but cannot get online. Worked fine before with vodafone. My sim card also not internet barred. Anyone have any ideas?

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS

APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com

Proxy Server Address: 193.113.200.195

Proxy Port:8080

Login - Username: giffgaff

Password: password

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

MMS Settings

Connection Name: giffgaff - MMS

APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com

Username: giffgaff

Password: password

Server: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002

MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002

MMS proxy: 193.113.200.195

MMS port: 8080

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

APN type: mms

Here is the strange thing - I pt in the first posts settings and it gave me internet but no mms so i left that as the default and then input mms settings as separate APN . Now both work . Just wondering why the internet only works when the first posters settings are in place but don't work if I remove the mms bit from them?

Did you have O2 details in there as well? There is a well known incompatibility between the O2 APN settings and the GiffGaff ones...simple to solve if you use the GiffGaff app that I linked to earlier.

They merged them together IIRC.
