Clockwork Restore Corrupt???

Ok, I hope I did this right but I have r3 installed on my rooted sf and have installed pauls clockworkmod. I had backed up my sf because I was playing around with the fone and somehow my home and menu buttons stopped working???

Anyways I booted into recovery, restored my backup and now when I boot all that happens is I see the modaco logo for a while, then it dissapears and reappears, as if it is in a loop. I though nandroid backup was the holy grail... what have i done wrong???

this happened to me alot of times, what i did was i done the 'wipe all user settings/factory reset' from the clockwork recovery and than restore or reinstall the rom and it worked every time
