Guest Eran Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Hi guys, one question : does the SD expansion slot support MMC memory cards or only SD? Regards Eran
Guest psauer Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 i would prefere sd-cards. i used a mmc card and had problems...for example i just had 32mb but bought a 128mb mmc card....than i bought a sd-card any everithing is working fine. in some other topics you can read that the sd-card should be faster.... greets peter
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I use a 64MB MMC, and have no problems at all! P
Guest alkis_y3k Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 On the other hand, I bought a 32mb mmc card, and it doesnt recognise it at all. Im stuck with the 8mb SD one. How can I fix my mmc card, i cant believe I psent 45E for nothing.
Guest Yousaf Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 i had this aswell - i tried using my 64MB card of my 9210 and it simply wouldnt recodnise it but the 128MB mmc card works like a charm - :s
Guest casper508 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 The slot supports both types and I’ve used both (MMC and SD) without any problems but quite a few people have complained about MMC so I’d say stick to an SD if you can. Cas
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 "]I use a 64MB MMC, and have no problems at all! Same here but I've just upgrade to a 128SD :)
Guest HelloDave Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 You can never have too much storage - I first bought a 32Mb MMC and now I have a 128Mb SD, and it's still too small! My 32Mb Maxell MMC works fine though; only use it for backups now.
Guest yatpeak Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 SDs seem to be much more reliable, but some MMCs do work. Wyatt
Guest vadonald Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I have 3 MMC cards, a Panasonic 8MB, SanDisk 32MB and Dane-Elec 32MB, and they all work perfectly okay in the SPV. I have the cards for use with my camcorder for storage of digital stills. I bought th2 32MB cards because MMC cards used to be a bit pricey, but much better now, so may have to add a 128MB card to the collection. Cheers, Vince
Guest cyrilthefish Posted February 9, 2003 Report Posted February 9, 2003 i have 2 MMC cards, a 32mb and a 128mb that i was using with my Siemens sl45 mobile i've never had any trouble with them!
