Guest dairymasta Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Been having quite a bit of trouble with this. I try to get into fastboot to install clockwork recovery but my PC detects android 1.0 and won't let me install drivers for it. Installed the Android SDK with the usb drivers folder, sent set up to find the drivers there but tells me it can't find drivers. So tried rooting, installing ADB and all that, setting it to USB debugging and connecting without mounting so can try to install the usb drivers for Android 1.0 from there, but my device manager just has Dell Mini 5 listed and won't let me install the drivers for that either. What can I do? :)
Guest NO1FAN Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 It explains how to do it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776883
Guest dairymasta Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Sweet, that helped big time thanks a lot. The only thing stopping me from flashing 2.2 now is I can't figure out what the O2 APN info is? Googled it a bit, and there's quite a few and apparently you'll get charged? :)

Guest dairymasta Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Sweet thanks, although now for some reason it's as though I didn't even install clockwork :s weird, will install it again and try again
Guest navrac Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Sweet thanks, although now for some reason it's as though I didn't even install clockwork :s weird, will install it again and try again not unusual - several people have had to either try several times ( also don't boot into android after installing it - reboot to recovery and upgrade from there. Sometimes 2.1 overwrites the recovery on the next boot). If that doesn't work, there is an alternate clockwork recovery linked on about page 20 (+/-5 pages) on the froyo thread...
Guest ali_alex Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Sweet thanks, although now for some reason it's as though I didn't even install clockwork :s weird, will install it again and try again try erase recovery and then install stock recovery from 6941 beta 2.1 see Paul post
Guest dairymasta Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 (edited) Yeah, flashed it all, followed instructions set about in the O2 APN thread you gave me, but no 3G or anything...as I feared... :) any help? Followed it perfectly... EDIT: Nevermind, got it to work, hadn't set it at default like the stupid person I am haha Fixed clockwork by just installing it and flashing 2.2 straight away. amazing stuff!! EDIT EDIT: Although I really don't like this resolution....but no idea how to change it? I'm a super noob...shall search the web more for info on this build.prop thing EDIT EDIT EDIT: S'all cool, used root explorer and edited the build prop and sorted. :) Edited October 16, 2010 by dairymasta
