Guest basti80 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Today my new Galaxy Tab(P1000) arrived from Amazon.de. Now I have tried to root it. The Way is very easy: 1. You only need to install KISS and the drivers of the phone. 2. DEBUG Mode in the phone 3. Software 'Super one Klick' installing 4. Connect phone to PC 5. Press Root After a reboot the phone is rooted. Have Fun.SuperOneClickv1.4_ShortFuse.rar
Guest Khisha Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) Great info. I was just looking for root for my new SGT and knew that Modaco would be the place to find it. As far as I am concerned all those 1-click root don't hold after reboot. Have you tried reboot your tab after rooting it? I think that root should be identical to Galaxy S. Isn't it? P.S. I can confirm that it works, but there is newer version of 1-click-root here Edited October 18, 2010 by Khisha

Guest stevenz Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 Legendary, need to be able to use Titanium Backup, that's about all I need root for but the app is so useful that it's bordering on essential.
Guest AndyCr15 Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) Sorry, what is KISS? Where would the drivers for the tablet be found? Many thanks. **EDIT** I'm going to assume you meant Kies? Edited November 4, 2010 by AndyCr15
Guest mleithner Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Yep, he did. Same procedure as for the Galaxy S, really.
Guest stevenz Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 A much easier way is to install the Z4Root application from the market (if your device has the market) and just use that (enable Debug mode before plugging it in). It just works, very impressed. su in ADB doesn't seem to work though, but the SuperUser app does.
