Guest Epic-Emodude Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Hi, I have been using fancy widget for a while on FLB-mod 2, but I never had weather working. Today I decided to update to CM6 and im looking for a new weather/clock widget to use. Im willing to pay a couple of pounds for it, and decided to ask for the advice of my favirote community. Please could you tell me what your favirote wether/clock widget is and why (and vote in the poll) Ideally im looking for someting like the HTC sence clock widget. Thanx Aaron
Guest Letterbox115 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 (edited) I just use any clock on the market, and if I want weather, I use snowstorm :) I'm using LED Clock Widget right now (FREE :) ) Edited October 16, 2010 by Letterbox115
Guest ambrozija Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Fancy widget rocks (more or less :) )!
Guest twrock Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 I have had little luck with anything but the standard analog clock widget. Fancy Widget worked well for a while, but lately it just stopped updating the weather. But at least it kept updating the time (which I believe is probably critical when considering a clock widget). But there have been a lot of digital clock widgets out there that I have tried and discarded because of exactly this problem. I don't understand the problem in what the devs are doing when the analog clock never fails, but almost any third-party clock eventually just stops updating. So, does anyone have a nice looking, no more than two rows high (prefer one row only), digital clock widget that is guaranteed to keep updating?

Weather Widgets But you're out of luck. Price was increased (from 0.00 to 1.71) in the last few hours.

Check this thread for the fix. :) I also use Weather Bug. Not strictly a combined Weather & Clock Widget, but a good weather widget none the less. Screenshot here - Chris

Not strictly a combined Weather & Clock Widget, but a good weather widget none the less. Screenshot here - Chris Thanks. That was very informative. I had reinstalled Fancy and the weather is updating at the moment (previously it had stopped here as well). Maybe an uninstall/reinstall will help with that? I don't know. But my bigger problem is when any of these widgets stops updating the time. Showing the right time is really, really important to me when I'm looking for a clock widget. :) Probably the issue is that the widget is getting kicked out of memory. But I'm not using any third-party task killer, so it's not something I'm doing differently.
Guest twrock Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 I spent the "big bucks" and bought Beautiful Widgets. Yes, there seems to be a problem with Google's weather "feed" for my city as well. But with Beautiful Widgets, I can choose AccuWeather instead, and so far it works flawlessly. The clock has not stopped updating either. Lots of skins available, and, when I'm bored some day, I might just make my own with the available skin builder. As always, YMMV, but I'm happy so far.
