Is there anyway to improve audio on this?

I finally took the plunge and got one of these, all works fine apart from the most important aspect for me music. I was used to an iPhone and even cranked up at full blast the San Francisco is only about 50-75% that of the iPhone at full blast. Sound is good and clear and crisp but the volume is a big let down for me and thats using Sennheiser CX300 earphones, the supplied earphones are rubbish.

Another let down is the FM radio, Ok my old iPhone didn't have that but I used an old SE Walkman phone and reception was excellent, the FM radio on this is dire, its ok outside but inside move about at all and all you get is hiss, it also struggles on the strongest BBC national stations and volume on the FM radio seems even lower again.

I don't blame ZTE for these issues as I had a HTC Desire that had exactly the same faults so can only assume its something to do with Android.

I really love the phone apart from these issues as audio is an important factor for me as I listen to the phone 8hrs per day at work, I had to get rid of my HTC Desire for these reasons but I am hoping there is some sort of cure as I really don't wanna part with this phone.
