SF booting up but no response from screen at all

Hey guys,

First post here, i did have a good search but noone with simular problems.

My SF is a week old, been very very happy with it, up untill about 30mins ago. Seems to have turned itself off, all im getting occasionally is either all three bottom buttons lighting up and vibrating when i press them or a pulsing red light. No screen activity at all.

Ive tried booting with and without the batt (plugged into the mains).

Anyone got any ideas??

Try Taking the battery out for 10 mins, then put it all back together - give it some charge, then try it.

Have you custom ROM'd the phone? or is it still stock?

Its standard Rom, not touched anything other than installing apps and music on the phone.

Its spent all night on charge but same symtoms as above.

Ill try leaving it with the battery out for a while - having no phone is killing me lol.

Still no luck.

Although now it seems like the phone is booting up but the screen isnt turning on, or its badword.

Cant seem to find my receipt from the orange shop either, whats the odds that i can get a replacement with my receipt. Only bought the damn thing a week ago! :)

Just to update this. I ended up also having Microphone problems in the effect that noone could hear me!

Took the phone back to my local Orange shop, as it was within the 28days they swapped it for a new one.

Good service from them.

New phone is working great, even better the new one doesnt suffer from the squeaky volume rocker - yaaaay.

Result. Did you find your receipt or did they take it back without it?

Nope didnt find the reciept. It was within the 29day warranty with Orange. They asked what day i bought it, with that and the simcards mobile number they phone it on their system. I didnt even need to show any ID.

Gave me a brand new SanFran there and then. Pretty good if you ask me.
