Guest Andysan Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 (edited) Hi, Can anyone recommend a speed dial widget akin to the one on the HTC Desire please? Just want a widget to fill out a homescreen with nine photos on representing contacts. Have seena few apps about but they all look hideous. TY. Edited October 16, 2010 by Andysan

Guest mario999 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Look at the paid version of LauncherPro. http://www.launcherpro.com/
Guest Andysan Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Maybe this? http://www.appbrain.com/app/speeddialer-2-...on.speeddialer2 Thanks, this is the best app Ive found thus far. Unfortunately its not in a 3x3 grid which I was hoping for and its not skinnable but I'll use it until I can find something better. Thanks man!
Guest AndyHibberd Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Mario makes a good point. You can effectively build your own speed dial if you have the full version (Definitely worth buying btw, most useful app/system I have). Place a 1x1 icon for each contact and it'll also show their picture, choose to have name showing or not. This is nice and if you want to go a step further you could make a folder called SpeedDial then inside that have all your Contact icons you want (saves on homescreen space) Good thing about LauncherPro is that you can also do speedmessage where it creates a new message widget for that contact.
Guest ezablade Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 You can always do it the cheaper way and just add a shortcut to a specific contact to your homescreen. If you want more and don't want to use up the space, just add a folder to your homescreen and move the contacts shortcuts into there. Not very customisable (you can only change then name of the folder, not its icon - unless there is a way I haven't found), but, it works and it's free!
