Guest rbbrslmn Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 I'm a bit new to this and well. don't know what I'm doing it would seem. I rooted and installed clockwork mod yesterday (also put an ext 2 partition on my sd card) today I saw r4 mod on villain rom and put it in, all seemed fine except I could see no reference to apps2d anywhere also task manager was bust. I installed apps2sd from via clockwork mod the same way as I put in the r4 rom. from here its all gone wrong and the thing wont boot! I've now wiped the cache and tried to re-install the stock rom. it still wont boot, it just repeats the orange boot up animation over and over. is there anything I can do? thanks.
Guest idroid84 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Remove cache / reset rom via Clockwork Recovery menu and reflash again.
Guest rbbrslmn Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) right I went into clockwork mod I selected wip cache partition then wipe data/factory reset then installed the OUK_P729BV1.0.0B05 stock rom its still doing it. what steps am I missing? please bear in mind I am a novice who has stumbled into this obviously without enough working knowledge! You have done it right, them steps is what your ment to be doing. Try a stock ROM R3/R4. If these fail too thees a good chance you might have to take it back to the shop.
Guest rbbrslmn Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) thanks, its at least not a brick anymore and comes on with the r4 I got from villainrom... now all I have to do is a) learn more about what I'm doing! :) learn more about what I'm doing! I was doing this in the last few tense minutes of the merseyside derby (i'm a blue) very bad move that almost took the gloss off an almighty result. Edited October 17, 2010 by rbbrslmn
